The Center for Enhanced Oil Recovery (Center for EOR) served as the Technical Partner of the SPE Almaty Section Technical Seminar on EOR.
The Center for EOR is a joint initiative established by CTSolutions LLP and the Institute of Polymer Materials & Technologies (IPMT), created to combine scientific expertise, laboratory capabilities, and practical field experience in developing and implementing advanced EOR technologies.
Its mission is to support oil and gas operators across Kazakhstan and the wider Caspian region in improving recovery efficiency through research, pilot testing, and technology deployment.
Operating within a consortium framework, CTSolutions and IPMT collaborate on fundamental and applied research, innovative technology development, and field implementation of EOR projects, including polymer flooding, surfactant–polymer (SP) flooding, alkali–surfactant–polymer (ASP) flooding, and new chemical and equipment solutions for mature fields.
The Center for EOR is actively engaged in Kazakhstan’s national innovation ecosystem, including participation in the Science Fund commercialization grant, led by CTSolutions (ИРН DP23692405, 2024-2026, «Commercialization of an Enhanced Tertiary Oil Recovery Methods Complex for Mature Oil Fields in Kazakhstan»). This program aims to transition advanced laboratory developments into industrial-scale applications that deliver measurable production improvements for oil operators.
